Generally acknowledged as probably the largest tackle shop in England, this store is something to behold.

Measuring in excess of 70m (over 200ft) long and 15m wide we’ve certainly never seen anything like it.

Walking around this spacious, well lit store it proved impossible to think of anything we may have needed that we couldn’t have bought here.

Whilst specialising in general coarse, match and specimen angling there is also a great sea section that is bigger than most shops on its own. As you would expect from such a massive store, the selection of gear is simply staggering and there are over 400 rods on display from every manufacturer you can think of with an equally impressive display of reels, clothing, bait and terminal tackle.

Huge amounts and ranges of tackle on their own are simply not enough in these challenging times. As well as the tackle, people want value for money, customer service and some great deals. And we certainly weren’t disappointed in any of these areas.

There's always great debate about RRP prices and selling prices, well at Chapmans Angling they simply show their prices and allow you to choose and compare the gear for yourself (with the help of one of their very knowledgeable members of staff if you prefer) but while looking through the rod display we saw rods that we know were selling for nearly £100 simply priced at £49.99 and believe us, we know you would not have got a rod of that quality and performance anywhere else under £50.

That’s the buying power of Chapmans Angling, who not only have this massive store in Hull but a big shop in Scunthorpe and a huge dedicated mail order warehouse with 18,000sq feet of floor space.

The best way to describe this store in Hull would be like a Tesco’s for tackle. It has everything you could ever need at good prices and is really hassle-free and convenient, all you could ask for!!

No wonder Chapmans Angling are attracting visitors from all over the UK to the store. All we can say is get yourselves there. You won’t be disappointed.
