Europe's Biggest Three Day Beach Festival

The European Beach Open that saw £25,000 paid out in 2009 has been expanded to three days.

The European Open Beach Championship, formerly the British Open Beach Championship, was the biggest two-day beach fishing festival in Europe in 2009, with a total prize pot of £25,000.

The 2010 competition will see the event expanded to cover three days, making it a festival of sea fishing.

The event is organised by East Yorkshire Events Bureau from the East Riding of Yorkshire Council in association with Total Seafishing Magazine.

The Championships will be taking place on the 26th, 27th and 28th February 2010 and looks set to attract the stars of the European match circuit.

Now entering its 17th year, the Bridlington-based competition has long been number one with the British sea anglers, but the 2010 event will have an even more exciting flavour. Invitations have been issued to much of Europe and it is expected that the overseas contingency will be far greater than ever before!

Besides rubbing shoulders with anglers from Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Spain, Portugal, France and Germany, each angler will be able to pick up valuable information, tactics, skills and new techniques.
