Right, let's get a community thing going - this is the spot for a brief introduction about yourselves - you and your fishing!

Me? Well I'm head of channel for OnlineFishing.tv and used to be editor of Total Coarse Fishing magazine, Midland Angler, Improve Your Coarse Fishing and Southern Angler.

Jumped aboard this ship because I think that angling's been badly served by TV over the years, and I really believe angling deserves its own TV channel.

Fishing wise I'm a match angler and have fished in all but one of the last 15 world championships for the USA, usually not doing too well!! But I did finish in the top 20 overall in Italy on the River Mincio and did pretty well in Hungary two years ago...

Also I like to target specimen fish especially zander, perch, bream and tench. Am a member of a syndicate on the Great Ouse and have probably had 20 2lb perch there, including two at 2lb 14oz, but never a 'three'... grrrrrrrrrrr!!! But going back there soon to have another go with Paddy Leigh, who has joined the fold - welcome Paddy. Ask him about his best day's perch fishing - amazing! Anyway will be taking the cameras with me and Paddy's confident, so we should get a show. Oh, and I run the Total-Fishing.com website which is the one for match anglers.

  ano this a lil random but...... im really into match fishing but only fish club matches. how do i get onto the bigger matches or the nationals or where do i go next!

  Hi i'm steve and I'm a addict ,forum addict that is ,Fishing wise I'm a all rounder really ,but my main fishing is barbel fishing and trotting rivers (with my centrepins) with the odd match thrown in for fun ,and the occational fly fishing session.

  Hi all. Great to be on the new site. Must agree with chavender the centrepin is great to use, not only on rivers but stillwaters to. Use mine a lot during the colder months with fine lines etc for roach. Dont do much match fishing, just pleasure but hay everone to there own. Just love getting out of doors and relaxing.

  i am only 13 but fishing is my favoraite sport and always has been i have a fair bit of experience still though lol i enjoy match fishing but i dont do much of it i manly enjoy pleasure fishing (coasre fishing that is) i love rivers but u can oftern find me at a commercial aswell i love fishing for tench,roach,carp,bream and chub the most and i also like fishing for perch my best is 2lb and that all u need to no about me=)

  Ayup, I'm Lee, fished as a kid up until about 18 when other things took my attention ;-) - just came back to fishing in 2006 after a 18 (!) year break and am loving it. get to take my kids now sothings have come full circle.

  Started off pleasure fishing, moved to carp fishing in my second season and am now totally into match fishing with the local club, unfortunately no opens over here (Isle of Wight) but when I get competitive may travel across the water for the odd open, work willing. Haven't framed yet but have had 2 4th places and a 5th out of the last 6 matches so will get a brown envelope sooner or later :-)

  Run a hosting company for a living so fishing time is short but try to get out at least once a week.

  Hi folks

  I'm a "returnee" having had a little break of about 25 years! Oh how things have changed. I'm loving it now just as much as when I was a lad and I'm just as happy catching gudgeon as I am catching carp. Like 'fisherman' says it's the getting out of doors and relaxing that you just can't beat.

  I do all sorts, coarse, sea and a LOT od match fishing when the mood takes me.

  Been fishing for 38 years of my 43, so I've seen some proper changes, mostly for the better. The main ones being the near-death of both centrepins and closed face reels. It's a personal thing. I hate them.

  HI to ALL

  Just to say hello to you all,,and what a good site we have to enjoy.

  Been fishing for 5hours today,,did not do to bad,seeing how cold it was,mix/bag of around 45lb [mannor farm]hard going for abit,then well for a hour or so,,but went home with a smile,and now on site enjoying more fish time.

  Hi there folks,

  Another recent Returnee to the passion of angling.  Started again this summer after a 25 year break from fishing as a wee lad.  Now I just do it often enough.

  Really looking forwarded to supporting the channel and the website - good luck with it guys.
