Moving on from Part One, when our teams of top specialist and match anglers 'mess about' catching small fish from Lakemore Fisheries’ Golden Lake, it's now on with the serious stuff of trying to catch a catfish from the Cheshire venue, as our duos attempt to put their names on the Catfish Challenge Cup.

Mind you, some of our match anglers don’t seem to quite have got the hang of this night fishing game – with Mick Brown left speechless as Derek Willan turns up with pyjamas, slippers and teddy bear in tow!

The anglers are split across two waters – Long Lake and Horseshoe – and refreshed from a hearty BBQ following the afternoon match, our intrepid heroes head off in their pairs to take on the a Wels, which grow to up to 50lb in this venue.

For the catfish purists there’s some good instruction in here, in particular Simon Clarke (he of Catfish Pro fame) demonstrating his ingenious ‘Winch Rig’ for getting a livebait out at distance without any chance of casting it off. Clever stuff!

As the night wears on it becomes clear that the majority of the venue’s catfish are not playing ball, but then just as all hope seems lost, a bite alarm screams and it’s panic stations on Jeff Moore’s peg...
