A programme to make your jaw drop, Jakub hooks up with the native Indians of the Brazilian rainforest and ventures where no western angler has been before in the hunt for mammoth Amazonian catfish.

Jakub and his team penetrate a part of the world where time has stood still for hundreds of years, as with a bit of coaxing the natives take them under their wings and eventually reveal the whereabouts of mystic fish that rise to the surface at dusk and emit a strange humming sound.

Jakub catches some species he recognises, and some that might not even have a name. But these are bait fish intended to lure his quarry, enormous Amazon catfish.

As night falls Jakub hooks into some magnificent looking red tailed catfish which are simply stunning.

But these are just the hors d'herve for the main event - a battle royal in darkness with a quite incredible Piraiba catfish over 400lb - probably the biggest ever landed on rod and line. Simply awesome!!
